As in altering the name of this newsletter from The Man Diet to Boy Buffet.
Y'all, after much thought, I’m not sure I truly, really…emotionally want to continue penning this newsletter under any name.
There—I said it…out loud!
Full disclosure I’ve lost quite a few followers since the name change. I’m not sure as to why. But nevertheless, former Man Dieters said, “Girl, bye!”
Here’s What I Know To Be True:
Humans hate/resist change.
Oh, well…you will never please everybody.
But it is this feeling of knowing some people will criticize or won’t agree with your decision that keeps so many of us stuck or forging down paths we know deep, deep down in our souls we don’t wanna go.
And right on cue, as if I needed justification for my feelings, this weekend I binged The Four Seasons on Netflix (so good), which led to discussions with, count’em, not one, but two friends, randomly informing me that they knew, deep in their guts, they should’ve not married their former spouses…whoa!
So whether it’s the
Alter Or The Altar…A Girl ALWAYS KNOWS!
She knows when the universe/God/Jehovah/Allah (pick your deity), is desperately trying to get her attention.

Be that as it may, why do so many women ignore these spiritual hunches and nudges to move on and to go in another direction?
Speaking for myself, I’m embarrassed…I’m starting over or stopping, yet again at the seasoned age of 55.
Also, I’m ashamed—ashamed of launching and sharing another great idea with my colleagues, friends, and family, which may or may not be financially rewarding or successful.
Let me explain it further.
The genesis of my shaming is the result of being a highly creative, go-getting individual. All my life when I get a wild hair, a creative idea to tickle my you-know-what, I’ve never hesitated. Boy Buffeters when I tell you, I have done literally EVERYTHING I’VE EVER WANTED, I mean—everything! The hardest lesson that I’m still trying to master is
The Art Of Walking Away
When do you know TRUST that it’s time to go? How do you decipher between giving up too soon on your dreams or dream guy versus that gut intuition telling you that whatever it is you’re struggling with, has reached its expiration date?
From my experience, it is when things and/or life start to get obnoxiously uncomfortable. Way beyond hard work or letdowns. Or perhaps you wanna go, but you’re afraid of disappointing loved ones…mainly, yourself! I have a tendency of “hanging in there,” too damn long!
First, acknowledge & honor:
Your truth!
Your unhappiness. Don’t try to downplay it or ignore it.
Knowing that spirit will guide and protect you.
Friends & family opinions. But in the end, do what’s best for YOU.
Trusting the process.
Most importantly, You Are Allowed To Make A U-Turn!
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” – Henry David Thoreau
You are allowed to do whatever the f#%k you want to do at any given time.
Because we are not on this planet for a long time, but for a good time!
Therefore, my best advice,
JUST DO IT ALL.
Follow your joy…
Oh, and for the record, I have one or two more things I intend to do career-wise. And I will manifest them just like this newsletter.
Whatever happens after that is not my business.
I’m in the business of joy; birthing and sharing my creativity. The by-product of this is added value to someone’s life by altering thoughts, perspectives, and outlooks.
If it doesn’t?
Funny enough, that’s what the unsubscribe button is for.
