Clearly, I’ve Gotten Your Attention

OK, where do I begin? Let me take you back to the most painful breakup I’ve ever had. The heartache took place in late 2007. But out of that pain, I began writing. I was addicted to this bad boy (and no, NOT P. Diddy) and couldn’t get enough of him. Hence, naming my writings, The Man Diet. My diet with him was unhealthy AF! The only thing healthy with him was the sex. But (wo) man cannot live by good sex alone….but oh, honey, did I try! Like millions of other women, I tried and failed miserably to substitute sex for love.

So what’s a hungry (all the time)-for-love girl to do? Well, if I wanted to lose weight and get in shape, I’d go on a diet. Therefore, I decided to apply the same principles to men.

  • Watch everything that I put into my body

  • Avoid empty calories…AKA, promises

  • Think of men as a food group…are they healthy or unhealthy

  • Pay closer attention to content labels: WHAT’S HE MADE OF

  • Workout my own issues

Welcome To The Man Diet

Hi, I’m Velicia Hill. I’ve accomplished a lot in my life. I’m a helluva visualizer and know how to make things happen. When I was young I said I wanted to be like the supermodel Iman—I modeled for over 10 years. I said I wanted to design maternity clothes; I did...and well. My line was sold in over 45 boutiques across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. I then wanted a retail store-so I opened up three of them. I wanted my own shoe line...designed it. My only shoe went viral on Instagram and sold out within 30 days! COVID came along, and I couldn’t sell shoes in person, so I started a magazine about shoes-Ms. Heel. Within a year, we went from digital format to paper and was sold across North America in major grocery stores, drug stores, Barnes & Noble, Indigo-Chapters, Target, and Books-A-Million. Oh, and amid social distancing, I won an Emmy Award alongside Oprah, for my contribution to OWN’s, Black Women Own The Conversation: Motherhood.

Am I accomplished in business, yes. Unaccomplished in love? Well, that’s up for debate. I’ve been divorced since I was 30 years old. Sprinkle in a few called-off engagements…I’m now 54. Clearly from the aforementioned above, I know how to make things happen. That’s why I believe that The Man Diet will not only help me but hopefully you as well.

Beware: I Have A F%#kin Potty Mouth

Yet, said with love! I hope you’re not offended by a little colorful language. Sometimes, I will use a four-letter word to get my point across. Do know, I’m speaking from experience and from the heart.

Man Dieters, I sincerely ask you to join me as a paid subscriber which will only cost you about the price of really good 🍸 per month, to have full access to me and/or to cuss me out in the comment section. Once a paid dieter, don’t be shy to write to me & ask about a dating dilemma. More than likely, I’ve been-there-done-that. Trust me, I’ve done the legs-in-the-air work for you.😉 Whichever method you choose to join me, I’m so happy to have you here.

Thank you so much,

Velicia💋
